Rahil Chakraborty

Rahil is a Senior from Singapore studying Economics/Mathematics with a minor in Consumer Behavior. He is currently serving as the President of GIS and has previously served as the Head of External Operations as well as a Group Head for Pure Alpha and Global Macro in Investment Research. He has previously interned at Goldman Sachs in their Investment Strategy Group as well as at TCW in their Equity Research division. In his free time, Rahil loves staying active, exploring new cuisines, reading psychology, and is also involved with the Trojan Consulting Group on campus.

Luca Johnson
Luca is a senior studying International Relations (Global Business), with a concentration in Finance. He currently serves as the Head of Investment Research, having previously served as the Head of the Special Situations Investment Research Team. Last summer, Luca interned at Moody’s Investors Service in New York with their Structured Finance Group, while completing Directed Research on Diaspora International Financial Flows. He previously interned at an international think tank in Brussels, as well as a local hedge fund. He is an avid chess player and Founder of USC Chess Outreach. In his free time, Luca enjoys playing chess and tennis with friends, and reading Russian literature.

Rhett is a Junior from Dallas, Texas, studying Business Administration with emphases in Finance & Entrepreneurship. Last summer, he worked at Epic Funds, a private market investment platform, and helped launch a diversified private income fund. He serves as the Head of Investment Research and was previously the Head of the Global Macro team. Away from the financial world, Rhett is a musician who enjoys reading & exploring the mountains.

Arman is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Last summer, he worked as a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Oceanview Capital Partners in Los Angeles, focusing on lower middle market healthcare investments. His previous roles include analyst positions at Avalerian Capital Partners and Vermillion Rock Advisors. Currently, he is the Co-Head of Academy and a part of the investment research division, specializing in special situations investments. Outside of academics and finance, Arman's interests include weightlifting, golf, trying new restaurants and reading in the fields of history, psychology, and philosophy.

Jason is a Sophomore studying Accounting and Finance with a minor in Applied Analytics. Last summer he worked at 41 North, a local Investment Bank in California. Currently, Jason is also a part of the Pure Alpha Tech Investment Research team at the club. Outside of his academic pursuits, Jason enjoys playing piano, is an avid League of Legends and Monster Hunter fan, and enjoys watching Anime.

Vedant is a sophomore studying Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance. Last summer he worked as a research analyst at a blockchain startup. He is currently serving as the Head of Explore as well as Group Head for Pure Alpha Technology in Investment Research. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Board of the Impact Investing Group as the Head of Research. In his free time, Vedant enjoys playing basketball, making beats, traveling, and listening to R&B Music.

Chris is a Junior pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. This past summer, he interned at Odyssey Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm. He is currently Head of Mentorship at GIS. Prior to this role, he also served on the Investment Research Pure Alpha team. Outside of his role, Chris enjoys hockey, skiing, and the outdoors.

Kenly is a senior pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. This past summer, she worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst for Guggenheim Securities. She is currently Co-Head of Mentorship at GIS. She is also on the Pure Alpha Investment Research team. During her free time, Kenly enjoys skiing, playing squash, and going to the beach.

Paavna is a Sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Applied Analytics. Over the recent summer, she interned at Mastertrust, an investment management and financial advisory firm. Currently, she holds the role of Head of Marketing at GIS, having previously been a Marketing Associate, instrumental in bolstering the club's social media presence. Outside of her commitments, Paavna enjoys hiking, pilates, and playing table tennis.

Ebony is a Sophomore from San Diego, CA, studying Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance and a minor in Real Estate Development. During her Freshman year summer, she held a Sales Internship at OTIS Elevator Company and plans to intern in the Commercial Real Estate Industry next summer. She is currently serving as the Head of Technology, where she is responsible for communications within GIS. Additionally, she serves on the Executive Board of the Trojan Real Estate Association as the Director of DEI. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, exercising, and reading.
